Marathon. Over. It took me 5 hours, but I did it. I finally ran a marathon. The GO! St. Louis Marathon. First of all, I would like to give a big thanks to Todd and his fiancée, Lori for having us at their house for the weekend. Big thanks to my parents for flying down to support all of us running (My sister, her husband, and I ran the full, and Holly, Todd and Chad ran the half). Also, a big thanks to Holly, Chad, and Todd for waiting around after finishing the half to support me on the home stretch.
Now... as for running a marathon... wow, that was painful. I don't think I can completely articulate how much pain I was in for last couple of miles. But on the flip side, I don't think I can explain just how much joy that comes with finally crossing the finishing line. Now, the first stage of training for TCM... recovery ;)

Wow! Congrats! A full 26.2 in new shoes?!? that's just insane! I think it's required that you forget at least one major item for a race like that though....my brother left his entire race packet for the NYC marathon at home... :P
Anyways, congrats again - it's got to feel great to check a accomplishment like this off your list.
Hey Jon, This is awesome!!! Congrats!
